RULES

  1. All food except pies must be removed from pan and placed on a paper or Styrofoam plate and covered by a resealable plastic bag.

  2. Recipes must accompany baked goods on a 3x5 card.

  3. Food must be made/prepared by exhibitor.

  4. No box mixes unless otherwise specified.

  5. Owner’s name should be on the bottom of returnable pie plates.

  6. All recipes become property of the Fair

  7. For A-11, entries MUST follow the recipe given at the bottom of this page.

1. Flavor (30%)
2. Appearance (30%)
3. Texture (20%)
4. Recipe (Difficulty) (10%)
5. Follow Directions (properly entered) (10%)

Recipe for A-11

 

Pumpkin Bread

 

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup butter, softened

3 cups sugar

3 eggs

3 cups flour

1 tbs. baking powder

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 1/2 tsp ground cloves

1 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1 (16 oz) can solid pack pumpkin (or fresh)

 

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, mix well. Combine dry ingredients, stir into creamed mixture until just moistened. Stir in pumpkin. Pour into two greased 9-in x 5-in x 3-in loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until breads test done.
